The following services are available in the pool room at my home, in your home if you have a table, or at a pool room near you (with approval of the owner or manager):

• Instruction for beginning and intermediate players, and constructive evaluation for experienced players.
• Video stroke analysis and introduction to the SPF (set, pause, finish/freeze) methodology.
• Demonstration and guidance in progressive training drills to build stroke consistency, accuracy, speed control and aiming.
• Report-card type evaluations to guide students on their training needs and provide measurable goals for improvement.
• Introductions to the major pocket billiard games:  8-ball, 9-ball, 14.1 continuous ('straight pool'), and one-pocket.My Home Table:

Contact me and we can discuss the kind of instruction you're looking for, as well as the benefits of learning and training with the SPF curriculum.  Rates are $30/hr/person in my room; $35/hr/person + room fees at a local pay-to-play establishment.  In either case, there is a 2-hour minumum. Bring a friend and get a discount:  only $15/hr additional for each of the 2nd, 3rd & 4th players.  Email:

There are training exercises and drills in the SPF courses that will teach you:

• Better stroke mechanics
• How to create your personal, systematic pre-shot routines
• The telltale signs of an incorrect grip
• How to remain relaxed when a shot requires a higher speed stroke
• How variations of speed or spin can create the same results in cue ball control
• How to properly use your eyes - your Personal Eye Pattern - to give more useful information to your brain
• How to recognize when you've made a mistake in your mechanics, so you'll know how to fix it
